A flat should feel like your home. At The 1815 Building on Brighton seafront, our approach is straightforward: give residents their own space, make the everyday details clear and be there when they need us. Here is what that means through your stay.
Arrive to a home that is ready for you
Your flat is professionally cleaned before you arrive. Our 18 studios and one- and two-bedroom flats are furnished, with their own kitchen and bathroom, a bed, storage and a desk with an office chair. Layouts and equipment differ, so use the flat photographs, floor plans and feature lists to choose the space that works for you.
Some flats look out over the sea; others face the rear of the building. Most have an in-flat washer/dryer, while Flats 1A and 11 each have access to a washing machine shared with one other flat.
Settle into your own routine
High-speed WiFi is included in every flat. You have your own kitchen for meals and your own bathroom, with central Brighton and the seafront outside. Check the individual flat details for other included utilities, rather than assuming every rent covers the same bills.
We welcome cats and dogs under 15kg on any floor. Heavier pets are first-floor only because noise travels between floors. Tell us about your pet so we can explain the options.
Deal directly with us during your stay
Website enquiries come directly to our team. The agency handles Rightmove enquiries, viewings and contracts, but from move-in onwards all residents deal with us. Our own app gives you access to documents, messaging and maintenance reporting.
Our no-deposit, no-guarantor, no-blame approach is part of the same idea: we want you to feel at home, rather than worry about every everyday scuff.
Stay without starting from scratch each year
Your rent will not increase for at least the first two years of your stay. If you stay for a second year, we provide a courtesy deep clean during the summer break, repeated every additional year you remain with us.
Finishing university does not have to mean an immediate move. Residents can stay for up to three additional years after graduation. Speak to us about your plans and read our frequently asked questions.
Leave without a cleaning bill
When it is time to move on, take your belongings and we do the clean. There are no cleaning fees or extra charges. That promise covers both a professionally cleaned arrival and the move-out clean; the annual summer deep clean is an additional courtesy for returning residents. See our full cleaning promise.
